How Varistors Work in SPDs
The product is a surge protector for integrated low voltage distribution systems.Each varistor has a separate release device.The release device works on the principle of thermal release.This function is achieved by the release metal rod using its own elastic action after the low temperature weld point is melted.When the disconnector is in action,a red indication will be displayed in the transparent window on the front of the surge protector.
Some differences in the production process of SPD varistors
1. The electrode material is copper with large surface diameter, and CP wire cannot be used.
2. Welding materials use environmentally friendly solder paste, and tin rods cannot be used.
3. Use reflow soldering for soldering, not spot welding.
4. Before the electrode is welded, it is necessary to add a "clip" process.
5. The four sides of the varistor for SPD need to be glazed.
