What is High power NTC thermistor?

NTC stands for Negative Temperature Coefficient. It means a Negative Temperature Coefficient. It generally refers to a List of semiconductor materials or component with a large Negative Temperature Coefficient. The NTC thermistor is a thermistor with a Negative Temperature Coefficient. It is made of metal oxides such as manganese, cobalt, nickel and copper by ceramic process.

These metal oxides have semiconductor properties because they conduct electricity in exactly the same way as List of semiconductor materials such as germanium and silicon. At low temperatures, these oxide materials have fewer carriers (electrons and holes) , so their resistance values are higher; as the temperature rises, the number of carriers increases, so the resistance values decrease. NTC thermistors vary from 100 to million ohms at room temperature with a temperature coefficient of -2% to -6.5% . NTC thermistors can be widely used in temperature measurement, temperature control, temperature compensation and so on.
