It is made of metal oxides such as manganese, cobalt, nickel and copper by ceramic process.

At low temperatures, these oxide materials have fewer carriers (electrons and holes) , so their resistance values are higher; as the temperature rises, the number of carriers increases, so the resistance values decrease. NTC thermistors vary from 100 to million ohms at room temperature with a temperature coefficient of -2% to -6.5% . NTC thermistors can be widely used in temperature measurement, temperature control, temperature compensation and so on.
